Job Summary

Supporting and reinforcing the MCNC brand voice across all content, this individual will be responsible for communicating the value of MCNC products to various B2B audiences in multiple formats including but not limited to social media, white papers, case studies, infographics, ads, print collateral, digital content, blogs, and video.  Candidates must have both a passion, and proficiency, for marketing, branding, writing and editing designed to support B2B marketing strategies to achieve business goals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Content Creation & Marketing Support

  1. Assist with writing and editing content for various marketing channels, including social media, blogs, white papers, email campaigns, and other communications.
  2. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop engaging, brand-aligned content that supports lead generation, client retention, and thought leadership.
  3. Support the development and management of the content/editorial calendar.
  4. Help maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Social Media Management

  1. Manage and monitor MCNC’s social media presence across multiple platforms.
  2. Draft and schedule social media posts, engage with followers, and track performance metrics.

Client Engagement & Sales Support

  1. Assist the client engagement team by setting up pre-sales calls, providing quotes, and coordinating with the Service Delivery Manager.
  2. Facilitate communications with vendors and request quotes as needed.
  3. Support the handoff process to ensure smooth transitions between sales and service delivery.
  4. Create and send welcome letters and onboarding materials to new clients.

Administrative & Project Coordination

  1. Track and report performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing content and outreach.
  2. Assist with managing project timelines and ensuring deadlines are met.
  3. Support special projects and other duties as assigned by the senior director of marketing.
  4. Work with the client engagement team to create copy for marketing and communications initiatives and campaigns to support product and solution launches, drive lead generation, support client retention, extend thought leadership, raise brand awareness, and support the MCNC vision and mission.
  5. Contribute to content/editorial calendar.
  6. Write copy for marketing collateral, presentations, newsletters, white papers, press releases, datasheets, direct mail, video scripts, social media posts, infographics, biographies, advertising, and email outreach for a B2B audience.
  7. Contribute to social media presence across multiple platforms.
  8. Update copy in existing marketing and communication collateral, making it fresh, relevant, and persuasive while ensuring it aligns with marketing goals.
  9. Contribute to success stories or case studies highlighting the effectiveness/benefits of MCNC solutions.
  10. Research relevant trends and statistics in broadband and technology
  11. Collaborate with product development teams to understand value props and audiences.
  12. Work with the sales team to equip the commercial team with updated materials.
  13. Work with the marketing team and marketing leadership to meet deadlines and provide clear and timely communication to company stakeholders.
  14. Protect the MCNC brand by ensuring content is consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice.

  18. Exceptional writing and editing skills and the ability to adapt the style, tone, and voice to various types of content.

  20. Must be attentive to detail and work quickly and accurately.
  21. Exceptional organization skills and the ability to manage multiple, diverse projects.
  22. Ability to work in an agile/sprint environment.
  23. Travel will be minimal, but may be required several times a year.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt style, tone, and voice for different content types.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  4. Basic understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing principles, and content creation.
  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
  7. Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to drive a company vehicle on company business. Pre-employment and annual MVR checks will be required during your employment with the company for this position in order to be approved to drive a company-owned vehicle.
  9. Background and sex offender checks will be performed for pre-employment and annually during your employment with the company.
  10. This role will be required to adhere to the MCNC Substance Abuse policy, which may include drug/alcohol screening at hire and periodically or randomly during employment.

Preferred Qualifications/Specialties

  1. Previous internship or project experience in marketing, communications, or related fields.
  2. Basic knowledge of Salesforce, Pardot, HubSpot, or other CRM platforms is a plus.
  3. Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) is desirable but not required.
